    Hi from Tennessee

Hi from Tennessee. Have been lurking in the background enjoying the postings of others. Continuously wish that I have the $$ to afford even a basic outfit. I am a klutz when it comes to diy/aka sewing.
I have entered my second or third childhood, then it is good cause I am fighting diabetes 2. It is a battle that is not easily won. I got to lose weight, that is the most effective tool I could use. I have a great wife who is retreating from the world in her advanced age hence I am not getting to come out to do activities I want to do.
I got a couple cats that are demanding, they want their human slave (me) to be at their become call.
So to summarize my note - I am male, overweight, overage, lazy, trained to serve the cats & love my wife. I want to get back out in the woods, so HELP!
Will try to get down to visit the delegation at the TN hang.
    Another time

Welcome, I have a fairly demanding life but mostly self imposed and not nearly on par with what you have in your life. I escape to the backyard when I can to hang as I don't get out on the road and in the woods as much as I would like.

Good luck, stick with it and you will find a way to fit in some hang time.

Welcome from over in Athens, TN. It would definitely be a great move to check out the Middle Tennessee Hang even if you don't have a setup yet. Lots of good folks willing to help out here on HF.

Welcome from Nashville! Neo is having one of his hangs in a couple of weeks. A great place to meet folks and see various rigs firsthand.

Also, I'm a member of the Nashville Backpacker group on www.meetup.com. Our monthly meeting is this coming Thursday (first Thursday of each month). We do a lot of actual backpacking, if that might interest you.

Welcome aboard and don't be shy!
