    Amsteel Whoopies

Hey everyone. I just started playing around with some Amsteel and I'm about to venture into making my own whoopie slings for my Hennessy. One thing I noticed is that most websites have a different option for Hennessy Hammocks. Whats the reason behind this? Is there a big difference between a whoopie sling for a non-hennessy vs. a hennessy?

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the input.

The way in which the line attaches to a HH is a little different than most other hammocks. It takes several more inches of line at the base/fixed eye to match the original HH lines attachment method...hence the different option. Not a huge difference but enough to note and adjust for.

Ahh. Alright, that makes sense. How much longer would you recommend I make them then?

6 inches or so in the fixed eye area should be good. You can do that with the length of the fixed eye or just have a small fixed eye with more space before the adjustable bury. 6 of one....

Thanks for that link. Made a little more sense. Basically the whoopie needs to be a few inches longer to accommodate the wrapping correct?

I'm curious as to how you attach the continuous loop to the HH.

I was gonna try this on my Hennessy - basically hum a bar and fake it. Having already done the whoopie conversion, I imagine it's probably not too complex. Probably just a larkshead should do it.
