I hear people talking about closing off the end of their tarp with their ponchos in bad weather. How do you do this? Any pictures?

I did a video on this a ways back. Since then, I've added grosgrain loops to the shoulders of the poncho, so that I can tie a guyline from the bottom end to the tree or a stake in order to offset the floppiness I mention in the video. Here's the video:

That is a sweet set up....

Sorry that I don't have any pics, but my son Wes and I do this on the ends of his tarp when the weather gets bad. (I've sent my tarp off to 2QZQ and had doors added).
We always carry a bit extra cordage with us for this kind of stuff, and we end up tying it off to the stakes on either side, the d'ring at the top end of this tarp, and then going along either side and tying the edges off to the closest pull out tab on the tarp as well.
Gets a nice, snug fit with no gaps, and holds up well in the wind.
If it's really looking hairy, we'll do it on both ends of his tarp, with his poncho and mine (since I'll be snugged out in my hammock anyway).
If I get the chance, maybe I'll throw a video together.
Thank you both. I just came back inside from playing with the poncho. Fortunately, my poncho already has snaps and loops in strategic places. I was able to attach the poncho to the end of the tarp very easily. Seems simple now. I always try to keep the wind direction in mind when I set up, but sometimes there are surprises and this makes me feel a little better about being able to shut off the end of the the smaller tarp. Here is a video of my first attempt:

Great idea! Thanks for the videos GrannyPat and FLRider. Ahhh the joys of multi-use gear!

Yes, I like my poncho, which I won at the 2012 Hot Springs hang, donated by snowcamper. I've worn it in the rain, used it as a cover on the hammock for extra warmth, used it on the ground to keep my pack from getting muddy and now I know how to use it as a kind of grizzbeak. Definately a multi-use item.

Finally got to watch it. Good one. I hope it gives some folks ideas...
YMMV

Free advice worth what you paid for it. ;-)
I used my poncho with less cordage -- basically just four Ti hook stakes and a bit of cordage to attach them. I tied out from the four lower corners of the poncho, which meant I didn't have to rely on the velcro / snaps as the poncho is attached totally open. (The hood, which can't be seen in the photos, overlapped the tarp. With this setup I didn't use anything attaching the tarp to the continuous ridgeline, and that didn't seem to be a problem.
I don't have a video, but below are a few pictures of this setup from a windy trip this past March.
