    Father/Son camping trip

We just had our 9th men's camping trip at Pleasant Hill FWB Church. I am the only hanger but I think I've about got some converts. Just wanted to share a few pictures. I slept 8hrs in my Safari w/the stock hex tarp. It rained over an inch during the night w/a low of 50F. Great nights sleep hanging over the Cumberland River near LBL.

Cold rainy weather is the best time to convert folks. I've been on trips where all the "ground dwellers" were flooded out. Even better is when the weather turns nasty and you suddenly have a few buddies wanting to hang out under your tarp so they can cook dinner. Dry space is always at a premium.

Yep, I was the only one that slept dry except for the ones who brought a camper. And I was the only one that it only took 5 min. to break down and put up my rig.

It was great. We had a couple of kids who have no memory of life w/out this event being part of it. And the worse the weather the better the stories that get retold every year.

always good to see fathers and sons doing stuff together. Shooting guns and hanging hammocks even better!

Looks like a good time! What does FWB stand for? I used to host a men's advance when I was a pastor of an independent baptist church. We had rifle, shotgun, and archery ranges set up. We preached in the loft of an old barn and it was a great time; your pictures reminded me of it!

Sounds like a great time with "real" people!
