    SHT Thru Hike

Current plan is to leave Monday morning to drive my son up to the Minn Arrowhead for his attempt to thru hike the SHT. He will have scetchy conditions as there is still quite a bit of snow on the ground. Mix in warming weather, sloppy conditions and possible cold rain, this trip would be much easier in January or February. He's not a forum member, but will be hanging in a hammock. Wish him good luck and vibes. TY...........SHT reports are still 18-36 inches of snow on trail.........

It may be a lot easier for him to go NOBO do to the weather. Good luck and safe journey.

It's not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body,
But rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting,
    Woo Hoo!....What a Ride!

Good Luck!! Hey Stairguy, are you gonna be posting his updates? If the snow gets out by mid May, I'm having thoughts of doing the same thing.
