    rain running down suspension issues

I have a warbonnet blackbird and his buckle suspension. I also have a chinook tarp with velcro at the ends that keep the ends shut. Slept in my hammock last weekend and rained like crazy all night. About 4 in the morning I noticed some dripping on my feet. Got up and noticed the rain had seeped past the triangle buckles and had the end of my hammock soaked.
Any suggestions on how to keep the water off my hammock? thanks

What do you do with the excess webbing that runs from the buckles. I usually make a slippery half hitch with the excess not for a back up but to act as a drip stop. A cotton shoe lace or similar tied around the amsteel just after the buckles might help.

+1 a small drip string on the amsteel to alleviate any of the final run off should do the trick.

...and remember to do the same with the tarp rope.
