    Continuous Tarp Ridge Line

I'll disclaim upfront that I am a Newbie and I've just set my hammock up in the yard. I've looked at the sketch for the continuous ridge line and I plan on using the arrangement with the two mini-biners that Mr. Derek has shared. I do have a question that is probably dumb, but here goes:
The hammock suspension lines and the ends of the tarp ridge line are exposed to rain. When you are in your hammock, the suspension lines "run downhill". What do you do to prevent water from running down the suspension lines and entering the hammock?
    Thanks in advance!

Most suspension systems have something between the tree and the hammock that will stop the rain as it drips down the suspension line. On cinch buckles, it will be the buckles, and with whoopie slings, the extra line coming through the bury hangs down, catching any drips before they get to your hammock.

As for the tarp, rain should be stopped at the guy out rings.

You can always tie something to the line to act as a drip stop, as well.

All it takes is some sort of drip cord tied to your suspension under your tarp and before your hammock. If you are using a whoopie sling the dangling portion often is sufficient. Some just use a small piece of shoestring or the like and leave it on the suspension just above the hammock.
