    Bow saws would work.

I spent years helping with creek maintenance in our community, have saws, straps, rope and chainsaw. Also a flat bottom boat for hauling gear snd working. Bottom line, you get in the water to do a lot of the work. All of this was 30 years ago. Nowadays, who knows, probably need to be licensed, insured and permitted as you said.
Lets do it anyway. I volunteer to be on the cleanup crew. This can be the first annual GSHDA of NJ "Overnight River Clean-up Hang" ORCH. Or better said, the GSHDANJ ORCH !!!

Forgot to mention, a few years back we had some excessive flooding that trashed a bunch of local bridges, Pemberton, Medford Lakes, etc. Downed trees took some of the blame for creating the situation. The county, in this case Burlington, said they would clear some trees, folks just had to report them. We reported a couple whoppers that were impedimg flow and canoe traffic on the Rancocas and sure enough, a few months later, they came out and cleared them. Spent all day doing it. I provided the workers food, refreshments, help and extra gear when their lines failed.

I wonder if a call to Ocean County would achieve anything. Everyone is crying about budgets, so I have my doubts.

One thing is for sure, I won't mess with any beaver dams, no point, they just rebuild them.

I booked site #3, and you could have possibly hanged on the edge of the site in the woods, but you would be in the woods with those nasty climbing sticker vines.

Next to me at site #2 there was a guy hanging in a Hennessey so that site is doable for 1 person at least (but it's a little close to the outhouse).

I honestly slept in my TarpTent, and had a wonderful nights sleep with my new Klymit Static V2 mat (almost...but not quite as comfortable as a hammock

Yeah, I know sites 2 and 3, exactly as you say, off to the edge, outhouse right there, right along the road. Thanks for the feedback.

    Thread bump.

This thread starts off great with pictures, videos, and descriptions of local pine barrens campsites. It goes down hill in the last few posts but still worthy of a look!

Bumping this back to the top, for more recent intel:

Plenty of info on Batona, Lower Forge, Mullica.

Seems like Goshen is not ideal, based on info in this thread.

Since there have been some recent outings at Bodine, Hawkins, etc. - any info on those sites, for both smaller and group sites?
