I hear you, I've really wanted a 1.7 SL for awhile. They are on sale on Brandons website right now, so I couldn't resist. Ordered one last Wed. Can hardly wait for it to get here so I can start experimenting with the lay. I picked SL because it will be my summer hammock. I have 2 RRs, both dbl layers, for the other 3 seasons.
Good Luck!
so you ordered a 1.7 sl? you will have to let me know what you think. I can't decided between 1.7 single layer or 1.1 double layer

I just got the xlc and love it
I have a 1.1 single layer and a 1.7 single layer. I have my 1.1 tuned up with ultralight suspension and ridge line for carrying when I want to be a gram weenie but to tell you the truth, the 1.7 works just fine for me with stock suspension, etc. I am 194 pounds and probably wouldn't get a double layer hammock unless I planned to use a pad for insulation...just my 2 cents.
If you want to buy used, I would jump on whichever one appeares first on the forums...but be quick...they go fast!

You've got another PM coming your way as well.
thanks guys for posting and sending PMs. I appreciate the offers and my wife and wrestled most of the evening as to which was better for what I want and ended up getting neither. so I am still looking for one at the right price.
Still looking for WBBB 1.7 single layer or 1.1 double layer! Maybe two if we can get the price right. She is interested in one as well.
