Tarp rigging on the TurtleDog stand

What are your suggestions? It has been suggested that using the top rail might be a little high in certain situations. Any suggestions?

I have a BCUSA 10x10 tarp and I use the top rail. So far no issues and I had it set up in the back yard early this week when we got a frog drowning rain with 40MPH gusts. Obviously I was set up with wind hitting the sides of the tarp and nothing got wet. If my tarp was smaller or cut differently (like my HH stock is) I would not be using the top rail.

I also have a Noah 12x12 but don't normally use it with my stand. It's just too big to fit correctly or at least that is my opinion. Perhaps someone else has a longer top rail or longer legs and it fits over the top rail ok.

I don"t see a problem using the top rail if using a superfly or big daddy, but if using the tadpole or edge, it might not protect you as well.

My tarp is rigged under the top rail. Attached too it at the ends, but under. Have not had any problems with my SuperFly, or Tadpole. You can lower the tarp a little, by loosening the ends, and tightening the guy-lines. I have done this with the SF in cold windy weather to give a little more lower protection and wind block.......RR
