    Question crazy talk?

relative noob here, wondering if this would work and/or is it worth doing.

could you build a dutch flyz onto a continuous loop, then larkshead it to the tie-out rings on your tarp?

I thinking of doing this so I could attach my tie lines to the stake and then tension them at the tarp end with the dutch flyz, stay under cover when needing to adjust tension.

    crazy talk or worth doing?

Can be done - don't see why not. I tend to have either Clam-Cleats or Line - Locks and they serve the same purpose for me.

You can but it is a little unnecessary and expensive imo.

You can use a linelock in a similar way to what you are thinking with the flyz or just go with a prussic a loop onto your guyline then larkshead the remaining part of the loop to the tie out.

I've had mine for a year like that. Even went thru 70 mph winds with it. Love it.

I keep all my stakes captive so I can't lose them, but avoid having anything tied to the free end like the plague. Any tangles/twists then just pull through.

Flyz are fantastic but they would snag for me like that.

Search for Shane's way of using Line-locs at the tarp tie-out. I use small lops of 1/8" bungee to attach them to the tie-out. Good system.

Why not use Dutch's Stingerz? Easier to attach and detach from the tarp and saves having to make loops and then larksheading them. I personally like a continuous loop larksheaded to the tarp and made into a prusik around the line going to the stake.

Yup.. Flyz on a loop attached to the tarp guyout points - I've seen a couple hangers do this.

Would a flyz with a prussic loop be a soft stingerz?
