    Ah yes, but compare that 120 lbs bathtub to a 40 lbs kevlar tripper, and even dragging through shallows becomes something different...

    I'm in the market for a canoe at present, and so far my eyes have been drawn to Swift Canoes, Bluewater Canoes, and Souris River Canoes. And yes, Canadian style and tradition are strong influences for me.

    I've paddled a Swift Yukon. Excellent boat, IMO. If you happen to find a good deal on one, please PM me. Not saying that I can afford one, but I'd at least like to have a look.
