A Welcome from Wales

Hello to all Forum Members

My name is Philip and I currently live in glorious West Wales, Cardigan to be precise. Today has been the first day this year to top 20c, after a long, windy, cold spring, following on from a long, wet winter, autumn, and summer. Am looking forward to now being able to air the canvas without getting frozen or soaked.

I've wild camped very comfortably for many years and always viewed the nuts up the trees with suspicion. Surely the trees are for birds and squirrels? Anyway for some reason it has been getting harder to get up from the ground in the morning. I suspect global warming, the earth must be getting harder and colder!

I've been looking at hammocks on line for a while now, looking at ideas, as I DIY most of my own gear. I came across "My Take On DIY Hennessy Hammock. A Tutorial" by HEADCHANGE4U, a great piece of work https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...read.php?t=670

I have never hammocked, so am looking forward to learning from you all, and to being able to pick your collective brains.

I was in Cardiff for a few days in March and I recognized your greeting immediately. Lovely country. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Glad to have you in the forums. DIY can be wicked good fun. But be aware... the dark side lurks.

Welcome from the Swansea valley, there are some hangers from Wales on here, as well as some sais..at least they hang so they cant be that bad
