Just got to use my Weight Weenie Micro for the first time with my Wilderness Logics Tadpole. Camped just off the Northvillle Placid Trail about 2 weeks ago... stayed nice and dry throughout a night long rain. Happy Trails, Bones

I hoping to test my Bias Weenie with my Mamajamba this weekend, don't think it's going to be a problem.

Definitely comfortable. Of all my hammocks this one has been the most comfortable to lay in in the basement. Can't wait to get it outside.

Best tarp for a BIAS hammock?

I have been pleased with my underground quilts hanger 11 with my WWM. It gives plenty of coverage, even with two hammocks side by side. It is also a handy shelter if you run out of trees and have to sleep on the ground.

My Tadpole has worked flawlessly with my WW on the month+ of my ongoing AT SOBO attempt.

    Plus 1.

But I get paranoid about wind driven rain coming in the ends, so if I think its going to be a Coastal Texas frog choker I take my HH Hex with doors just to be on the safe side.

I suppose I should stop putting off making those Grizz beaks for the Toxaway----

I have been considering a big daddy tarp or possibly a tadpole tarp. Do I need to go with a 144" ridgeline tarp with hiker lite hammock?

The ridgeline on a BIAS is 108". This equates to near the 83 percent recommendation that HF members have generally settled on as being close to ideal. We recommend at least six inches of overlap on each end, meaning a 120" tarp should be adequate. Some have reported making do with three or four inches of overlap, but that's a bit too close for me.

You can turn the tarp on a diagonal to get more coverage, though it's not ideal in cold conditions.

Since I can't make a "squared" symbol, I will use "^2" to represent this. The formula is to take the square root of Width^2 + Length^2.

In the case of an 8x8 tarp... it would work on a diagonal... 8 squared is 64, so 64+64 =128. Square root of 128 is 11.31 which is 11 feet, four inches. Again, it would work but coverage at the ends would be limited due to the angle.
