    while there may be lighter options with more coverage out there, i still like my profly. you just have to work on setting it up to what works for you, good luck on your decision, also you can find the profly for less than retail if you look around.

    I'm spending house money (20th anniversary gift from my employer) so I don't mind paying a bit extra. Thanks for the input. Probably any tarp will be an improvement from what I am using now which is a Outdoor Products backpacking tarp from Walmart.

    My whoopie slings arrived today from Simply Light Designs. Order placed on 5/2 and delivered on 5/4 (free shipping). This is my 2nd order with them and I am pretty impressed. Everything is shipped fast with a little personal note. Definitely will continue ordering with them.

    I'll install the whoopie slings tomorrow! Excited to see the difference in weight.

    Finally had time this weekend to install the whoopie slings. They definitely make adjusting the hammock easier. I was a little nervous sitting back in the hammock that first time but of course they held up fine. Certainly an upgrade over the heavier cord and carabiners.
