Not to state the obvious, but I just picked up 13+ yd of what I think is 1.1oz ripstop from WM in Littleton NH from their $1.50 bin.

I've never found anything worthwhile at my local WM but I was looking for something else while on a ski weekend and saw 4-5 bolts of the stuff so I bought what I had enough for in my wallet. You should check with all the WMs in your area to see if one has some.

    Good luck.

1.9 oz Urethane Coated Polyester Ripstop
1.9 oz. sq. yd. before coating 70 Denier. Similar to the above polyurethane coated ripstop, this fabric is suitable for tents and lightweight tarps. Now on special while supplies last!

Uses: Tent rain flies, lightweight tarps, ponchos, pack covers, kites, wind socks, vapor barrier liners for sleeping bags.
    Width: 60"
    Fire Retardant Colors: White

Normally $8.75/yd, now on special for $7.25/yd for fire retardant finish

    $2.00 for a Sample Pack
Please keep orders to 1/8 yd increments. Minimum order is 1/2 yd.
    1/8 = 0.125
    1/4 = 0.25
    3/8 = 0.375
    1/2 = 0.5
    5/8 = 0.625
    3/4 = 0.75
    7/8 = 0.875

That would work if it were only 65" wide. I think I am going to have to settle for nylon.

Actually Barry that isn't a bad Idea. They do get polyester that looks like it is lining for suits. I ofen find it is only 45" wide though. I also have a hard time telling if it is nylon or polyester unless I burn it.

It doesn't say what size but maybe you could call them. They had purple or as they were calling it "grape".

Someone here on HF was getting polyester ripstop from Rockywoods Fabrics. I think they ran out but you may contact them to see if they will be getting any more.

Thank you, I e-mailed the places you guys have suggested that I haven't tried yet. Maybe something will turn up. I know the elusive stuff exists I just have to find where.
