    Thanks! This year a Venture Crew scout turned Assistant Scoutmaster made a center post from well casing with chain welded to the top section, troop colors and numerals painted on it and fins to prevent spinning (or was it really to make the post look more like a rocket?).

    It's been a real blast, pardon the pun.

    I was at scout camp last week with my troop, and two of my boys decided to sleep in hammocks the whole week. One of them had a big bulky woven hammock, and the other one had a tablecloth hammock that I made last year and then sold to his dad (it looks like dad didn't keep it that long ). One of the other adult leaders also had a hammock, but he didn't even get around to hanging it up the entire week. He did pull it out and show it off, though, and there were several questions asked. I thought it was pretty cool.
