Biolite! The powerpot is cool but needs a stove, the biolite is a stove, grill and charger.

I have a biolite and share the love for it as a great wood burner. Heavy though

I've been thinking about the weight. If your going for a short hike by yourself it's heavy, more people or more time and the fuel weight has got to balance out. I know it weights less than a trangia and wind blocker and enough fuel for a week.

About the only down side is it can be a pain to light, I carry a little bottle of alcohol and a ferro rod to get it going. also I add in the weight of a camp hatchet and camp saw so my stove is about 1/8 to 1/4 of my total weight

I use chop stick thick fat wood and jute twine, starts really quickly. Wrap fat wood with a little jute twine, fray the end of the jute really fine and one good spark later. Drop in stove with some small wood. Turn on the fan.

I love my Biolite. I was wondering how well the grill worked. I think I'm going to need to invest in one of those. My kids love the stove too, I get home from work and they are just jumping off the walls, "Can we burn some sticks tonight daddy?!"
