    Brand new to Hammocks...

    ...but very interested.
Some friends And I planned a bug-out excursion, and I decided to pack light. I brought along a very cheap 'tactical' green mesh hammock I picked up in Afghanistan, but never used.

Anyway, it was great, although the others thought I was crazy. Now I'm thinking already about getting a Kammok. Anyone have any real eps romance with them before I drop the coin on it?

Oh, and the intro part, I'm Clyde, 30, At veteran or Iraq and Afghanistan and live in the Midwest.

Welcome aboard and thank you for your service. Can't comment on the Kammock, all my gear is DIY.

You might find that some folks on here do have a bit of romance with their hammocks

Anyways, I can't comment on the Kammok, since I went with Warbonnet right off the bat... but anything beats ground dwelling if you ask me.

Welcome from north of the border in Ontario.

Welcome, and THANK YOU! My son leaves for Basic in a few months ... couldn't be more proud.

All my gear is DIY, although the Kammock stuff looks nice. My theory was to invest little-to-nothing to get started and see if I liked it. Well I loved it, and I also thoroughly enjoy making my own gear.
