the only thing I plan on changing is adding a couple SMC descending rings to the rig, then attaching whoopies, ridgeline, UQ and such to the rings instead.
Best suggestions for attaching the rings to the hammock?
I was thinking about taking a piece of amsteel and just making two locked brummels on either end. (is this even possible) and double feeding it through the sewn end of the hammock and through one loop after having larks headed the other end to the ring. How long should I make it? and would it be strong enough?
Would it be better to just tie it off the way ENO originally did, only instead of a fat rope and a heavy biner, with amsteel and a descender ring?
