The dyneema from Brandon is what I have on mine. To readjust the cordage is to simply undo a wrap move to where you want it and rewrap. Then do the same thing on the other side. Total time most likely less than a minute or two.

Nice set up brute, I'll look at it in more detail later (I'm on my phone now).
I'll take a look at the stringerz they seem like they would work and still be adjustable. I was thinking about what tendertoe said about close together trees and realized I need to be able to adjust it at the as well. If I do it all with the prussik I could end up with the Prussik all the way at the tree.

I like the stingerz, they look a lot easier to adjust than I was thinking they were. How long a line do you have on them on each side? Dutch offers to splice on a 12' piece of zing it but that doesn't sound like enough since it has to go all the way back you only get 6 feet out of it.

Do you leave them attached and stuff them with the tarp or take them off and store them separately? Leaving them attached would make me nervous I think.

I believe I have 12' dyneema on both sides. I have yet to have a problem with not enough cordage for the tarp. If you think about it you usually want the trees to be about 12-15' apart. I shoot for 15-16' personally. I have an 11' hammock so that is why the longer distance. The ridgeline on the tarp is 11' That gives you a lot of wiggle room and excess cord. I usual have 2-4' of hanging cordage.

As to taking them off or leaving them on. That is up to you. I alway leave mine on the outside of my tarp skin so they are not in direct contact with the tarp. Though Dutch does a great job rounding down all the edges.

Cool, thanks for the tips. I'll probably end up with a separate bag for excess cordage and stuff I don't want to leave it all the time. Skins looks great but aren't in the budget yet. I justified all this by telling my wife it was this or a new tent
