New to forum, 2nd year hanging

My Ridgeline is a low on the right-hand side from hanging things to keep them off the ground.

You do not want to mess with this hammock!

    A peek inside

Greetings guys!! A buddy of mine on this forum mentioned the great feedback he received after throwing some photos up here. So I decided to join the community and do the same! This is my 2nd year in a hammock and this thing is only getting more comfortable with each hang. The above pictures are from my last hang prior to a surgery (wanted to get a head start since I'll be down for a few weeks) This is my first season camping in the snow and I gotta say I love it. There's nothing like an ice cold beer and the ability to bring bacon and sausage for the morning!

Hope you enjoyed the photos! I'll be posting more once I'm back on my feet again.

    Cheers!

    BK

Hello and welcome! The only suggestion I can make is maybe get some of Dutch's clip on tarp pull outs or similar devices. They will give you more room under your tarp when you set up your tarp low and close to your hammock. They'll also help keep the side from collapsing in due to wind and snow.

Welcome from Florida and I hope you have a fast recovery and can hit the trail again soon. Those pictures look refreshing as it is already 85 degrees here in Florida.

Hello, and welcome from the Springs.
Yes, the learning curve is a bit steep for winter hanging, but what an improvement.
Hope you heal up quickly from surgery. Happy hanging !!

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!! I hope to be back at it soon.

@Bubba, I agree. This is the only disadvantage to my HH hex fly, besides the weight. I'm currently looking to upgrade the tarp to something much lighter, packable, yet still have the ability to do porch mode and have pull outs for a little more comfort.

I've been looking at the Cuben fiber, but d@&$ it's expensive!! Any other recommendations? WB mamajamba?
