I'm interested in that shelf as well!
I spent most of my time this weekend working on sewing the first pair of my convertible pants. All the pockets are done (what a job!!) and the front zipper is in. Next is the back seam and waistband and then I can figure out how much to shorten the shorts so that they're not capris...
I WAS supposed to borrow a friends yard and get the seam sealing done on my tarp but since it rained most of yesterday and then SNOWED all day today, that job got kinda postponed...
I ended up making some snake skins out of tulle. They came in at 11-12 grams. I lost steam after the neighbor needed some help drinking beverages on the porch.
Every weekend I always make at least one thing for my backpacking gear..This weekend I made 3 Ultralight Hammock stands and a bag for one of them..Gotta make 2 more bags next weekend. May sell one to get money to order more supplies to start my Backpack project.
This year to date I have made:
- 2 TQs rated for 0F degrees with 16oz of 800 Fill Goose Down
- 1 Hammock
- 3 Custom Hammock suspensions including custom printed straps
- 6 Stuff sacks
- 3 Bishop bags
- 1 Tootsie bag
- 1 Pack cover
- 6 Cozies for all my cookware
- 1 Diy Bushbuddy
- 1 Diy Ikea Stove
- 8 Different alcohol stoves
- 14 Bamboo Trekking Poles w/handle wraps
- 1 Wandering Staff that is currently in circulation
- 6 Custom webbing straps w/buckles for securing gear
- 1 Aluminium Caldera Cone
There is probably a bunch of things I am forgetting but you get the idea...I have definitely caught the DIY Bug this year...Its been a blast making everything too...
Got together with a bud to dehydrate some meals... Chili mac, BBQ spaghetti, and beef stew. Thank you Mr. Babelfish
Took a couple more pics for an xtensive mod to a guide gear tarp, for a future post. Then I cut out some 12 ft pieces of my ATACS camo nylon to start my hex tarp and WBBB clone combo. I have some deadlines on another project coming up this weekend, and once that is over, I will begin building in earnest. Will try and post some pics as I go.
I am thread injecting 30 patches to denim vests for our church's Royal Ambassadors program...for this next weekend.
Good idea for a post looking forward to klaussenator's table!

ahhhhhhhh!!!
maintenance time
it was time to do some simple maintenance around my QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTING/PROVING GROUNDS
i aired up the tires of the RIDING mower & mowed around/under the trees, where i have been TESTING my suspension system mods
then i hung my hammock & took a nap, w/ my i-phone providing the soothing music
by the time i woke, the fire in the pit had burned down to a beautiful bed of coals & we cooked the steaks for our MOTHER'S DAY feast
tough job, but i managed...

I finally found a spot to hang the hammock and tarp to make a video demonstrating how my retractable tarp works.

I made about a half dozen stuff sacks from some fabric scraps. Made one for my top quilt, stuff sacks for two hammocks, and a couple sacks for stakes.
This week its permathrin application for the upcoming hiking season.
