As an ex-rock bum, I can tell you that if you're using nuts you'll need on of these tools after a night or two to get your stoppers out: http://www.rei.com/product/809315/me...orque-nut-tool

Lived in Laramie in the early 80's. Still say a 20mph wind was a calm day.

God's country,,enjoy it as I love Wyoming and have stomped around that state quite a bit. Simply God's country out west and so much to see and explore. Enjoy! As I know you will.

Thanks all for the kind words and tips. To top it all off, I just got a temporary biology position in Yellowstone for the summer! I don't think I'll mind living in a NP for a few weeks I am blessed beyond what I deserve. Anybody know how they feel about hanging in YNP? Not that I mind a little stealth.

I moved to and now live in Sundance Wyoming, The north east corner, Black Hills, Bear Lodge mountains..Welcome it is a very pretty state to hang between trees!

I have not run into any problems with hanging in NPs. Ive talked to a few of the park rangers around Devils Tower and they said as long as im not hurting the trees to have fun.
