So after just one trip with my new tarp, I was already brainstorming the idea of how to enjoy the stars and have rain protection without leaving the hammock. I made a small model to test a few designs, and eventually came up with one I was happy with.

I did a search, but didn't see anything like this, so this is the first I have ever seen in the area of semi-selfdeploying tarps.
