Not sure is this is a superfly??

As I stated in a previous post I bought a 1.7dl wbbb and what I was told was a superfly. When I got it set up it didn't take long to see this was not a superfly. It is a hex tarp of some sort. The seller told me the tarp was never used and I believe him as it is impecible. My question is how do I figure out which one it is? The tarp does have an 11' ridgeline and side pulls. I never measured the the width at the corners. Any thoughts? I will try to get some pics up tomorrow.

Maybe a Mamajamba, which if I understand correctly is basically a Superfly without doors? That's the one I bought.

The Superfly used to be a hex tarp (I think up to 2012). The permanently attached doors are a fairly new design. So it's absolutely possible that you have a Superfly. My old Superfly is a grey colour, and it has rings etc. to attach doors (which you could buy extra).

As mentioned, it could be an older Superfly. I used to have an older one with a separate door kit before the doors became integrated. Get some measurements to help figure it out.

Looks like the older model superfly to me. He started integrating the doors a few years ago-prior to that, you could order them separately. From that one pic though, it does look like an older model (2009ish).

I will try to get some pics taken tonight. If it is the superfly will the mamba door kit fit it or would I need to contact Brandon to see about getting a set?

I think the Mamajamba is basically the new Superfly (with integrated doors) minus the doors. The MJ should be around the size of the old SF, but you'd probably be better off asking Brandon if the MJ doors would fit 100%. The colour definitely won't be the same. You could post in the "wanted" section - maybe somebody has an old set they want to get rid off.

One thing you might want to think about is weight. The old SF was quite heavy compared to the MJ. Together with the attachable doors it will also be more heavy than the SF with integrated doors. If you can't find a used door kit, I would think about buying the new SF.

    The tarp in question.

    The corner tie outs.

The tarp has the 11' ridge and about 89" at the corners. It has the grosgrain one all sides including the ridge.

    What do you think?

Early Superfly was a hex with add on doors. Eary models were 132x126, and the door kit snapped on. I don't see any snaps so it's later than mine (late 2010). He changed to 132x120, same as MJ and altered the door design to drape over design that hooks at ridgeline I believe. Newest version has the integrated doors. You may have the gen2 if you have some type of additional connection point on your ridgeline, just missing the doors. I belive the MJ door kit would fit but email Brandon to be sure...Bush
