I'll be there. Thanks for the address and directions. I'll bring char cloth - great for starting fires and also the materials to make char cloth if anyone wants to learn.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

ANY skills you (Or anyone else) are willing to teach will be GREAT! I'll bring a Snus tin & some cotton fabric. Will try to find a Altoids or similar tin also.

I'm going to try to bring for everyone (my son makes them) a "Survival knife" made from 1/2 a hacksaw blade. It's actually a nice knife, considering it costs about $0.10 to make, plus about 30 minutes labor. You can have any color you want, as long as it's light blue.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.

I find Altoids tins work the best - the size is just right to where the char doesn't burn to ashes. One 3/8" hole in the lid is perfect.

Looking forward to the hacksaw blade knife! Thank you!

Are you still planning on the 22nd and 23rd? I need some experience with my hammock, and being around other hangers would be a great benefit. I will be out of town that week, but should be back in time to make it up there on Saturday. I am nearby that location.

Will you still have the hang if it rains? 'Cause I'll be there rain or shine. If nothing else, I've been promised a cookie.

    Well, next weekend is it!

So far, for sure coming is:
    Gary / Doctari
    Matt
    Jerry the Hiker
    Dave / Lost Biker
    Capt Buck
    Rob / Firewalker

    Maybees are:
Firewalkers kids (maybe one maybe both)
    My son Jon.
    Friend John
    Friend Chris (Very unlikely, but,,,,,)

I will be bringing a homemade (from PVC pipe) long bow for everyone to try.
Got most of the hacksaw blade knives made.
As I can drive nearly to the campsite*, I'll be bringing a cooler of something, likely at least drinks, but you never know.

*NOT recommended for 2 wheel drive cars!

Looks like the weather is going to cooperate - mid 80's days and mid 60's nights.

Hey Doc - you need a 4x4 to get to the camp site?
