I made some out of tulle the other day. They are somewhere around 11 or 12 grams and...ARE TOO BIG. I bet I could get them at 9 and still fit my tarp well. that stuff is crazy light.
I've not put much stress on them yet but if you are unsure about how it is going to turn out I would prototype (and possibly finish) with tulle. I got my tulle at 1.49 a yard at the fabric store and then 40% off my whole cut. I decided to get 8 yards because why the heck not.
I went ahead and bought 5 yards noseeum from diygearsupply.. Im gonna try to copy the dimensions of the XL hennessey snakeskins i use for my superfly.
These will be made with a cloudburst in mind.. Should fit about the same, right?
