    I have done this with any hammock that had the stock buckles on it.

    Rings are so much easier to work with IMHO.

    You do have to tie a slippery half hitch behind them but they are much easier to separate and adjust than the buckles.

    When we first got our WBBB's, someone on the forum wrote a hint for the buckles : point toward the sky.

    With all weight off the webbing, point the buckle toward the sky and pull.

    50% of the time I can slide the buckles the first time; the rest of the time a few seconds of fiddling.
