I just saw this in another thread. A number of HF hangers and vendors are at the event. I hope they and the people injured are ok.

OMG! that is a horrible coincidence. I hope the injuries aren't severe and everyone is ok to continue their hike.

looks like the guy who hit them had a medical problem right before he ran into them.

Holy Cow, I was just there yesterday! My buddy and I decided to head out early yesterday afternoon, otherwise we would have been at the parade. I know that Stormcrow & Jenny, Loki, and Running Feather were there at a minimum since we ran into them at the vendor booth area. We hiked a bit with Chuck from Chattanooga and I know he was probably still there. I had heard that Detail Man and his family, LD Cakes, Medicine Man and bunch of other folks were there as well. Here's hoping they are all safe!

How horrible! Prayers sent up. Has anybody heard from the HF people? Seems like Dutch was going to be marching in the parade. I don't know who else.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!
I just saw this on the news. Terrible! I hope everyone is ok, and I hope folks will check in here and give us more info.

My wife and I were there yesterday. Saw Dutch, Marty and the WL gang, and the jacks. Saw stormcrow riding a bike. We are still in the area, Abingdon, on our anniversary. Praying that all the HF family are safe and sound and that all injured will be OK.

I've tried emailing Detail Man and Medicine Man off forum. If I get a response I will make note. Not sure if either are truly there or not.
My prayers are with all!

Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me, leading wherever I choose.
