I want to make a hammock but can't find the crinkle taffeta at WM or Joann's but I did find some on eBay will someone tell me if this would make a good hammock.

Looks like the 2.6oz material sold by diygearsupply and used by dream hammock to make hammocks as well. Pre hemmed hammock blanks at diygearsupply for 22.95...Bush

Yes, this looks exactly like what I order from www.tableclothsfactory.com. It is 60" wide. Personally, I prefer a wider hammock, but I've gotten kinda spoiled with my 90" wide crinkle taffeta hammock. That is a great price for fabric, though...plus free shipping. I believe the seller is the same fabric warehouse that opens once a month to the public. I have shopped there twice buying fabric for hammocks and other projects. I was going to buy 60" blanks to make my girls new hammocks, but this would be a cheaper solution. Hmmm, I need to see if they offer other colors on Ebay. BTW, I have made several out of that navy blue and it is a really nice color. There is one waiting for me to make a DL with silver for the inside layer sitting in my living room right now.

Well it's not a $1.00 a yard as it appears when you go to buy it it's $6.99 a yrd the $1.00 is for a sample FYI
In that case, I think buying the blanks from www.tableclothsfactory.com is a better deal and they come with pre-hemmed edges.

I have not been offering the crinkly nylons as a hammock fabric, but if someone is interested we have this in first quality at only $1.25 a yard
