Foothills Trail May 17,18 Bad Creek to Bearcamp Creek

The trip was suppose to last 3 days. Going from Bad Creek access on Foothills Trail to Toxaway River and out Frozen Creek access. We ended up coming out early do to rain. Hiked past Thompson River and Hilliard Falls. We camped at Bearcamp Creek campsite. Had heavy rain Saturday morning and more was on the way. Used my new WBBB XLC and Cloudburst tarp. Had new Leigh's 30 degree UQ. You can see my Sawyer gravity filter hanging from tree. This Is my first attempt at video. Hope you enjoy. I hiked whole Foothills Trail 2 years ago. BigRed77

Oh man, I love the foothills trail. Only been into the Laurel Fork valley camping at the bottom of Virginia Hawkins falls once, but been on a section of the same trail a few times. Trying to get my fiancé to sleep in her hammock. Almost there, got some te-wa UQs coming in the mail. Last time we went out our dog ran off and chased a wild boar!
    Yikes!!

Thanks for sharing! I love that area and try to head out on the Foothills Trail often. I like the intermixing of pictures with the video, but some of the video confused me with where the focus was. The camera seemed to look down a lot. I think overall the trip looked great, the video showed what was going on and what you saw. I liked it. Thanks you again for sharing.
