First, I want to say thanks to everyone here. This place is great!

Onto the hang. I wasn't sure that I was going to be comfortable in the hammock so I made certain I was very tired before crashing for the night. I hiked the Wildcat Hollow Trail in the Wayne NF (15+ miles with off trail excursions) on Saturday carrying a 30lb. load (crazy I know) and tired I was when finished. It took me 20-25 min. to setup my hammock and tarp and probably another 10 min. or so of fiddling with my sleeping pad and I was set. Climbed into the hammock about 10pm and didn't wake until 5am (sleeping in for me). The first time I've slept thru the night in many years. It did rain thru much of the day & night but all in all a fabulous trip.

I'll not be sleeping on the ground again.
