GA: Questions about camping in national forest behind Amicalola state park

I was wondering if anyone has any tips on camping in the National forest behind Amicalola Falls State Park. You can drive through the park and exit out the back and you will be on forest roads. I have done this in my jeep so I know how to get to the roads, but just wondering if anyone has any tips on a good spot to camp once you get back there. Hoping to find something fairly close to the trail that goes to springer mountain.

I'm just looking to do some car camping and perhaps and out and back hike. Thanks for any info!

As I was typing this I was also googling and found something useful:

Looks like there is a camp clearing at (34.596569,-84.226501)

I believe that "camp clearing" is Frosty Mountain which is accessible by road as you can see. Just south on the AT approach trail are some good sites in the woods.

Thanks! The internet agrees that is Frosty Mountain. Looks like there was once an observation tower there but now it is just a clearing.
