    What Color Tarp?

Normally this would be an easy decision for me.... green! but they do not have it in stock. So the two options I'm torn between are brown and black. What do you guys think? I'm worried that the black will get too hot....thoughts?

I just got the Tadpole in brown. It's almost like camouflage in the fall, when I like to camp the most.

I have an ENO Profly in olive and it blends in the woods well. I would imagine brown would be similiar. but be careful I was at a group hang and could not find it one time when heading to it.

it seems to blend into the surroundings a little better.
My OMW has 1 side brown and 1 side green just because I couldn't decide.
the brown is a more natural looking color than the green, to me.
I don't have a good pic showing the diff. so this will hav5 ro do.

Brown blends in without looking like you are in commando mode. OTOH it also makes sense to throw in something bright like a gear hammock or tarp doors to make yourself findable. It can get really inconvenient if you take a little walk and lose your camp... ;-)
    YMMV

    Brown for me too.

I am on a brown, tan, coyote brown kick right now (for the last 4-5 years). Green works great during the late spring through the summer but I brown/tan type colors works year round. At least in my area.

If I could figure out a way to dye or in some way color my kelty it would flat dark earth or coyote brown.

    Re: What Color Tarp?

Stealth gray for me, not trying to go invisible vor others but OES MacCat grey color with black edges looks nice in any campground or woods.

i have had the WL big baddy for a couple of years now in brown, i love it. it does blend in nicely. i just sent it out to 2qzq, for the door mod in black. i think it will look sharp, i had a hard time picking between the brown and black my self.

my cousin has the same tarp in black and it provides better shade if you wanna sleep in. i havent heard him complain about it getting to hot either.
