    Porch mode?

Here is porch mode with a superfly and treking poles.

It can really depend on your campsite and how creative you're feeling when you do the setup. The main thing I watch for regardless of what I use, is to make sure it's tight enough and pitched enough for water to run off and not pool when it rains.

That had me laughing for a minute. They were leftover chunks of firewood laying around from last time I was there.

    Cantina Mode

The tents weren't too comfortable for lounging out of the rain, so happy hour was at La Cantina.

We are now ready to start our way down the Great Unknown. We are three quarters of a mile in the depth of the earth. We have an unknown distance yet to run, an unknow river yet to explore. What falls there are, we know not; what rocks beset the channel, we know not; what walls rise over the river, we know not. Ah, well! We may conjecture many things. The men talk as cheerfully as ever; jests are bandied about freely this morning; but to me the cheer is somber and the jests are ghastly. Powell 1869

I am a trekking poles guy myself.

I was wondering what I could do with my hike tent. Well now I can make use of the poles! Love that mod. I'm going to work that one out for my setup now....
