i got an old army poncho made out of ripstop sil-nylon. i was thinking about using it as a tarp when the weather was warmer so it would do double duty. well when i got it it was dirty. no big deal i took a damp sponge and the dirt and dust came right off. the thing i cant get to come off is the smell. i dont know what the smell is but i cant get rid of it. someone on another forum suggested i use fabreeze on it but i wasnt sure if that would interact with the sil. is it safe to use or is there a better way. i thought since you guys are always working with sil you might know.
