Video: Hanging out & Looking for snakes...

    Hi there list,

Completed another trip report from a weekend with some friends in the woods/moors in The Netherlands

A bit of hiking, hanging, having fun and looking for vipers and enjoying the great outdoors in general.

Just thought to share it, so if you are locked in a cubicle, behind a pc and want to escape reality for about 13 minutes....or have nothing really better to do

    Thanks for your time.

I liked the spinning world at the start of the video - nifty! You’re slowly converting all thoughs ground dwellers to the wonderful world of hammocking. Keep up the good work! Not too keen on Death Adders. They don’t get out of the way, and they’re hard to see, which is a bad combination. You got to see a snake skin (not for a tarp), AND a real live snake, nice looking snake too. Thanks for the video, born2roam, good stuff!

    B2R nice looking pack--dyneema grid?
The flat green meadows very nice---dikes to hold back the water or wrong country?
What was in the first guys mug/bowl-looked like BBQ?
Love Peters camo tarp, nice pattern!
0600 view beatiful indeed....me too approve
Ido's bivy (even though a ground dweller) looked cool (though uncomfy to me).
Very very cool listening to your native language too when you meet up with the group.
SO you did get a viper! Woohoo....and thanks for the s.o.
Now sadly off to my 'cubicle'.

Good stuff man. The little birdies were cute. What kind of stove is that you have?

Thanks Bruciehi5. I reckon I get brownie point in Dutch Hammock Heaven for so many converts ;-)

Pack: Golite Peak, yep dyneema grid. 2400 cuin (40 ltr) My first lightweight backpack (less then 1 kg), probably not the last but my Gear Aqcuisition Syndrome is not as bad as it used to be

dikes to hold back water, one way or the other.

The first mug/bowl is my new setup. A Ti 700 ml mug with a caldera cone inspired diy titanium screen/hobo woodstove. Small package contains all etc. see vid...

Peters tarp is from Mosquito hammocks. Love the ease of setup with just two guyout points (something you know all too well with the HNO beauties you got)

Some bivvies and tents look cool but ....that's OT on this forum

Thanks for watching buddy. Next vid (coming weekend) will be in Dutch about knives, with some Dutch knife makers and more. Might try that with a translating project....

Thanks Redoleary, the stove is the one in the vid mentioned in this reply to MM. A DIY Titanium foil which acts as a windscreen with an alcy burner or woodburner. Not as efficient as a bushbuddy or gassifying caldera cone with insert but good enough for me (for the time being...)
