    Gear List -- And Hello!

    Hi All,

Brand new to the forum, glad to see such a great community revolving around such a great hobby!

Anyways, I've recently decided to make the switch from tents to a hammock, and want to do it right the first time through! I've compiled a gear list (below) that I wanted to bounce off all you more experienced folk to see if there is anything I will be missing when it all arrives (especially in terms of little items such as stakes, carabiners etc.) , or if there are suggested substitutions.

As some background, I'll be hike or bike stealth touring (haven't settled on that yet) for a month this upcoming August throughout Europe. It will be relatively warm (lowest I'd imagine it getting in the night would be ~40-45°) but I want to continue to use the gear after the trip, so I am purchasing 3 season gear that will continue to be useful through the fall.

    Heres the list!

Hammock: WB XLC Blackbird double 1.1/1.9 multicam (net only) (with adjustable webbing suspension)
    Tarp: WB Edge (camo)
Underquilt: KAQ New River MultiCam with Black Regular
Custom HB XLC-Sized Snakeskin: MountainGoat Mesh Tarp Storage Sleeves

    Thanks all!

Looks like a nice set up you've put together. Sounds like a great trip. The New River doesn't pack as small as down would but I really like mine.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
