Clark NA in compression bag overall size

Got my Clark NA today and was really impressed with how much this thing packs down with an XL Rain tarp and a full suspension setup. Size 9 shoe for comparison! Looking forward to hanging in this thing next week.

Nice! Welcome to the Clark family... they are a heck of a hammock and I'm sure you'll get plenty of mileage out of yours.

Seeing as you are using the same hammock...any tips/suggestions that you think a NA owner shouldn't be without

Well it's a pretty complete package right out of the box, used it basically (tree straps were added) stock for about 6 years before doing any modifications to it.

Just last summer I went to the polyester webbing / descender rings setup for suspension but that's just me and my aversion to knot tying... same thing which led me to try out some no knot (dutchware or figure9) setups on the tarp since it does end up being a bunch of attachment points.

Thanks, I had a few concerns about the nylon tree straps that are add-ons as I've heard they can stretch pretty bad. However 6 years sounds like a pretty solid testament to the opposite.

My NX200 (extra large NA they don't make any more) is my go to hammock in the winter. I had it down to 5* in Dec last year just to do it. That weathershield is an excellent feature and you can snug up an UQ very nicely. I was toasty with some HG quilts.

My only suggestion is to go with a different suspension.

Not that this is right or the only way to go or anything, but here's a video on how I modded my suspension.

Thanks Dudorino, I've been looking at some of the dutch gear. That video has pretty much sold me on it.
