Come on guys, how do you expect me to ever sell my ENO in the FS thread when you guys are bad mouthing them. I know they aren't the best in the world as do most people, but at least give me a shot at a newbie who doesn't know any better.

Do you recommend the guardian net

This is what I did with my guardian when I realized the puny little waxed string included with it was too short.
It is very heavy compared to other options out there, especially at that price.
I sold mine to buy material for a fronkey type net. Got some nanoseeum instead.
I'd quote a certain book, but that is not allowed.

from what i recall the nanoseeum isn't that much lighter. i guess the weight of the guardian is due to its size?

I have enjoyed my ENO guardian, yeah it might be heavier but it most defiantly covers your hammock.

It works but it is my least favorite bugnet. Heavy, awkward, and bulky. It also drags the ground and catches on vegetation beneath the hammock

Adding to the issues of being heavy, dragging the ground, and coming with a ridgeline that doesn't work well for the net, mine also had three identical evenly spaced snags near the zipper. Naturally I found these when camping in a salt marsh, so I fixed them with tenacious tape rather than wait to return them. Had to mod the end drawstrings to keep them closed. Lastly, at least for my DN + Underbelly gear sling combo, it wasn't big enough...it constricted my hang and pushed my gear up where I could feel it through the hammock. Given that it's an ENO bugnest I thought it ought to fit the ENO system better than that.

The best way to use this product and it isn't great in my opinion but the wife likes it because it make her feel secure, is to go ahead and either have a built in ridgeline to your hammock with paracord or something like it. Attach the bug net not with the clips but by feeding through the entire system. You then must hang much higher than you normally would to get it to not hit the ground which will then force you to find a way to get your suspension up that high. Go ahead and throw away or use the included ridgeline on something else cause that thing is useless, (I carry it with me though incase another line on my fly's break or fray to what I do not like you never know). Everyone is right and after the first use I was ready to return it but the wife likes it with her system because of the full enclosed system like a tent. There are much better systems for the price in my opinion
