Spectra cord: Z-line vs No Tangle

I currently have Z-line yellow spectra cord, (which is great!!), for guylines on my HG stnd tarp.

I expecting a WB Superfly soon. I will need to purchase more spectra cord.

Is there a difference between the Z-line spectra cord and the Tree to Tree Trailgear Spectra No Tangle guy line?

I am inclined to get more Z-line unless there is something superior about the TTT Trailgear product.

    Thanks

I bought some z-line, and wasn't happy with it. Don't know if it was a qc issue, or just a quirk of the product, but the sheath herniates in spots, allowing the core to bulge out.

I have had no such issues with Speer No-Tangle...it is very good stuff.

Spectra cord: Z-line vs No Tangle

Speer No Tangle is great but is prone to nicks in the sheath using Dutch Fly's hardware.

I use 2.2mm Zing-it with Dutchware at the top. I like the Z-line for the way it holds a tautline hitch for the bottom. My curiosity was weather I would notice a difference in performance between the two.

    >> Really just looking for justification to make another hammock related purchase.

    Thanks again

I've gone through several hundred feet of that zline, in both 1.25mm and 1.5mm. I've never had an issue with it, I think it's great stuff. I use it on all of my tarps. I think you did indeed get a bad batch...

Can't help with the z-line, but here is a very handy reference to data for different lines, including z-line. I personally use g-line. I wish I knew who researched and tabulated this data because I would like to acknowledge their yeomen work.

    Z-line and zing-it

I recently had the sheath on my z-line stripped while using a Dutch clip also (fairly certain I was using 1.25mm z-line.) Granted we were in some family windy conditions (not sure of the mph) and I know that the lines were also set up under significant tension. That being said I'm not sure that the same thing would have happened with my zing-it 1.75mm. Having used both products, I can now say that I much prefer the zing-it. You can splice the zing-it, which often comes in handy. I've also found that it holds much better in my triangle Micro Line Loc Guy Line Adjusters when the line locks are used in a configuration near my tarp (as opposed to near the stake-out.)
