Thanks everyone for the encouragement, but alas we won't be able to participate. We don't even own a backpack. But we'd be happy to lend you a DO for the weekend. I can give you two so you'll be balanced if you carry one in each hand. Lil Ricky will be right by us Friday afternoon and can pick them up. Have a great time everyone. We'll be looking forward to the trip report next Monday.

PS This thread compelled me to order a battery powered fan. It can also run off USB. I am thinking it would be better to run it off USB than regular batteries.

Heh. I've got a spare pack, if you want. It might be a bit short in the torso for you, Timberrr (it is for me), but it'd probably fit Gumbo just fine. Of course, that still leaves you one short, but it's a thought...

Thanks for the offer of the DOs. I think I'll pass, though; I'm already planning on hauling an extra ~4 lbs of stuff in for everyone on Sunday.

I have a day pack to loan also, I used it last on our March hang at Lake Wales. It can hold a lot of stuff. Ask Lilricky, he saw it. I had 3 days worth of stuff to be comfy.
