Well, we've gone on 3 trips so far with our new trailer, and do you think I remembered the hammock or tarp for any of the trips? Of course not!

I'll have to make sure to bring the tarp going forward. We've lucked out with no rain, but it's bound to happen eventually. Having the space under the Superfly will be more than just handy.

The day I decided that I should get a hammock to go with the tarp. The rest is expensive history:

    WHAT? .... Sick thinking!

No really, I got a cheap SG tarp just for that,
I carry it in my kayak just for those long rainy
    days, makes life dryer!

What sets a canoeing expedition apart is that it purifies you more rapidly and inescapably than any other travel. Travel a thousand miles by train and you are a brute; pedal five hundred on a bicycle and you remain basically a bourgeois; paddle a hundred in a canoe and you are already a child of nature.

I use my WL Big Daddy and Wild River tarps on my river rafting trips. Group tarps for rain and shade. They are awesome. My rafting buddies are envious of how light and well made they are. Marty at WL made the Wild River specifically for me to use on raft trips. Here's a pic of the tarps in action on the Salmon river same summer.
