first time between trees

hey gang ! heres a video showing the set up I've started. Now feel free to bash it or what ever just tell me what else you think I should get . Asides from an underquilt it's on my list Mt. washington to be exact. now this is in my backyard I had no intensions on sleeping outside due to the fact I'm not properly geared with the right clothes yet. Does anyone reccomend a better tent stake mine didn't stay very well. Had to tie to trees. I had aluminum shepard style stakes that would go in the ground but slide right out. Thanks to all the info from everybody here on HF I'm well on my way to sleep soundly in the out of doors.

I LOVE the MSR Ground Hog stakes. I buy them at REI. Great holding power and still reasonably light weight.

No idea how cold it was out there, with the snow and all, but I've slept comfortably in a 0 degree bag with a pad underneath me into the low 20s with no fancy clothes on at all. I usually sleep in capilene or merino wool base layers when it's super cold, but I've certainly done it without. If there's not much wind, I've even been comfortable with two pads and a 15 degree bag in nothing but boxers and a t-shirt at 25 degrees.

I WAS THINKING OF MERINO WOOL FOUND A WEBSITE THAT I HAVE TO RELOCATE THAT HAD GOOD PRICES ON SOME CLOTHS .

Ground hogs here as well.

I got them this weekend and with the nasty weather coming through, thought it was a perfect time to test them out. Didn't get a lot of high wind, but they held very well in the muddy ground that is a result of my front lawn turning into a small reservoir.

My Nite Ize figure 9's will be coming in later this week, and I think I'll finally have my sleeping situation under control.
