    Condensation

Hikes Hot Spings up to Max Patch this weekend. Weird weather. I am sporting a HH Explorer. I got a new MCCAT Delux tarp that I was very pleased with. The first night was very windy and rainy. I didn't pitch the hammock well and have some real bad cold spots on the underquilt. The next night I did a MUCH better job pitching the tarp and the hammock. It was colder that night and very foggy in the morning. I have a JRB underquilt and it did great but both mornings the quilts were damper than I wanted them to be. I want to come up with a way to protect against the morning condensation issues. Thoughts? Ideas?

Try one of those dri-duck poncho/weather shield things from the Jacks. I'm fighting very hard to not order one right now; probably won't last long.

    I'd start reading the sockforum.
Seems like this is an issue for many a hanger in the NC area.
Also, start at Jeffs website for his hammock sock
    Enjoy!

Why not? Can't a sock be made with a BEEP?

You could use the SS UC with the optional OC.

I need a sock to keep cold air from piling into my bedding. 2Q/ZQ sewed my BEEP shut, though!

Wow Mac, that was a real alphabet soup kinda response. I have been on here over a year, and I wasn't sure about all that. BEEP could be interpreted as a censor. Wondering if you could clarify, especially for the newbies, so we understand what you are saying. It is so easy to assume we all understand the acronyms, but I don't always remember, and it is important to me to learn from you. Thanks in advance.

    I apologize! I translate!

Why not? Can't a sock be made with a BEEP?
Can't a sock be made with a Bottom Entry/Exit Portal? (one of my favorite HF acronyms, I mean, Hammock Forums Acronyms)

You could use the SS UC with the optional OC.
...use the SuperShelter UnderCover with the optional OverCover. (every day abbreviations for HHers, er, Hennessy Hammockers.)

2Q/ZQ sewed my BEEP shut, though!
The Hammock Forums users named 2Q and ZQ, who do bugnet zipper modifications for Hennessy Hammocks, sewed my Bottom Entry/Exit Portal shut when they added a zipper to the bugnet on my Hennessy Explorer.

    TTFN!

Hmmm... thinking about that. I suppose you could make one to work with the HH... I don't know of any commercial offerings like that.
