Don't know why I feel knotty and slightly durty...
Okay, so I finally had a chance to go the closest West Marine store near me in Cobb county Georgia.
Mind you all I know of amsteel/dyneema is what I have heard and read here in this here forum. Being into knots and tying up stuff and using paracord for the longest this wonder fiber takes things to new levels!
Okay, so I go into the store and its not busy at all. So I make my way to the back of the store as if looking for the girly magazine section. I finally find the rope section and nowhere to be found was this rope. All I wanted was to get a shank and run so no one could identify me (yeah, I know sound wierd but still felt like a creeper)
So, I built up some courage and went out in the open to ask someone about it and apparently someone else asked the same question..."where can I get some 7/64 amsteel?"
My guess was that there was another HF member there as well. We bantered back and forth and I finally ordered my first 100' of 7/64" amsteel........in RED.
I'll try to take some pictures of all that I have done in prepping for our side-by-side double decker surprise. Just got 37 yards of 70D where I'll be making a small scale of the SuperDome.
