Lsat weekend I was out with the Scouts and was faces with a long span between trees by the lake of 2 perfect trees by the road.
I was fine with my Dutch clips and straps, barely. Only had about an inch of webbing left beyond the marlin spike hitch. When I decided to put the fly up, my lines weren't long enough to go around the rather large trees. I thought about tying to the straps where my whoopies were, but thought if the straps streched, the tarp would sag.
So my solution was to tie the tarp to the Dutch clips. I slid my Flyz closer to the end and looped it through the clips and it worked great. I wish I would have taked pictures, but I was conserving phone battery.
