Going out to Hidden Pond this weekend in case anyone else would like to join us. Plan on possibly hiking out to Juniper Springs for a day trip, in case it gets too hot for the Pond.

Wish I could make it, but the Mrs. and I are headed up to Ft. Clinch for the weekend. Going to camp on the beach side with a stand--a first for me.

I would love to be both places but, I guess I'm stuck up here in this cool air. Seriously, I hope both of you have great times, and FLRider, stand camping can be just fine.
Were planning on going to the no under quilt hang next month. Can you give us a trip report from this past weekend.
Not much of a trip report, but let me tell you, you won't have to wait to not have an underquilt, had mine off the entire night with just enough coolness to be comfortable thanks to the occasional overnight shower. Stayed at a slightly different spot on the old Florida Trail spur that had been rerouted about 10 years ago. Had some deer as company as their curiosity seemed to overcome their fear. 2 of them came right up to my hammock as I laid there, took off as I reached for my camera. Hidden Pond and Crooked Sapling Pond are looking much healthier as we've been getting alot of needed rain. Saw a few ground dwellers at the Hidden Pond campsite, kinda loud at night, but I was far enough back in the bush where it was just a dull roar.
Thanks for the update I think we are going to do a day hike to check out the area tomorrow.
