Any tarp you find provides you with the coverage you want.

Mine is a 10x11 cat cut tarp made by Preacha's Wife. I'd order a Mac Cat if I didn't have it.

"best" is a relative term. The best tarp for hanging in the pine barrens in winter won't be the same best tarp for hanging out near wildwood on a hot summer night.

Decide what you want your tarp to do for you and then go from there. A good starting point to learn a lot about tarps is

It all depends on how much coverage you want, how much weight you are willing to carry, and how much money you have to spend. I would suggest looking at MacCat, Speer, or JRB. All of those tarps would work great with the BB or any other hammock.

Happy as can be with my Maccat standard(OES). excellent service also! I was impressed how well silnylon tarps can be cinched tight. No noise in wind. Make a goodnights sleep in a hammock that more enjoyable. If I had to purchase another I would go for the deluxe or larger for winter hanging.

I'm not really lookin to spend a whole lot on money... Any recommendations? Weight is not a problem for me. And i'd just like something i can cook under in the rain and not get wet.

What about just a regular old Tarp from a camping store or hardware store. If weight isnt a problem that would work fine and cheap as well.
